Crystalbrook Byron – Byron Bay NSW Australia

Its not often I can say I truly love everything about one hotel I have stayed in, however on this occasion Crystalbrook Byron really has won my heart. How many times do we choose the destination first then contemplate the accommodation and experiences second. Having now been a guest of Crystalbrook Byron I have changed my perspective on researching luxe, relaxation accommodation first and this would be front and centre of a visit.

From the moment you arrive and check in, staff very welcoming and friendly to the convenient location of the gorgeous pool area (heated might I add) and a huge emphasis on mind and body relaxation – there was even a free daily yoga class! I was already feeling relaxed before even going to my room.

The grounds are leafy forming part of a subtropical rainforest. Being surrounded by nature at your doorstep you cannot help but feel content and happy. Enjoy strolling around the property – so much to see on site Paperbark Rainforest, Tallow Lake viewing platform, Bangalow Palm Rainforest and the Cypress Pine Forest. Crystalbrook Byron sits on 45 acres of lush natural environment.

Rooms are conveniently nestled into the landscape and vary from Rainforest Suites to One Bedroom Treetops and Rainforest or Treetop Luxe Suites. With 92 rooms in total, you are sure to find the right room fit for you. I really appreciated the rainforest verandahs that’s right not one but two views to choose from and enjoying a cup of tea whilst listening to the sounds of the birds. Fabulous deep soak bathtub and a kitchenette with everything you could ask for. I order room service dinner, and this was delivered hot and my meal very enjoyable. I opted for a light breakfast in Forest the next day of coffee and coconut yoghurt with a berry compote.

If you do fancy more activities then enjoy the Tennis Court, large Pool, Gymnasium and access onto the Beach is also available. An Infrared Sauna and Eleme Spa are also located on site to indulge in and alleviate any further aches from one’s body. Eleme at Byron has many restorative treatments that will bring balance and calm to both mind and body.

Complimentary bicycles, resort shuttle (reservations required), car parking and a boutique enhance the property offerings for guests. As part of Crystalbrook commitment to sustainable tourism as with their other properties they have also partnered with EarthCheck on working together to improve energy efficiencies, reduce waste, cut down on greenhouse gas emissions and enhance conservation of the natural ecosystem on which the property sits.

Crystalbrook Bryon is just over a 2-hour drive from Brisbane CBD and a little under an hour from Gold Coast Airport. Alternatively fly into Ballina Byron Gateway Airport and in 30 minutes you can be enjoying your Crystalbrook getaway.
