Can’t believe it was two weeks ago but on the 6th of October, I participated in a Gold Coast Food & Wine Tours Progressive Dinner. This was a family celebration of 2 milestone birthdays. I had been looking forward to this tour for some time now. Karen met us in the Sofitel foyer and explained to us how the tour would work and provided some background info about her business.
We caught the G (Tram) to and from most venues, Karen arranges the tickets, food, some beverages and introductions to Executive & Head Chefs, Mixology Champions plus you get to enter their world, a behind the scenes sneak peak if you will.
For our tour my Brother Joe cooked with the Head Chef from Cliffords Grill & Lounge and created a yummy pizza which we enjoyed with some Tapas and a glass of Rose. Every piece of food here was a mouth watering experience! At Yamagen my Brother in law Michael under the instruction of their Master Mixologist created an incredible Cocktail for us to enjoy. Following this when we thought we were already full we then got to enjoy the incredible flavours of Bazaar, the interactive restaurant in QT Gold Coast. Heading back to Broadbeach on the G we capped the night off with a lovely palette cleanser in Room 81 with Joe assisting in creating a stunning cocktail for the end of the night.
This tour offers you the opportunity to enjoy food, restaurants, bars you might not normally visit or if you are in town for a short time this is a great way to experience 3 or 4 different venues in the one night. We did not go hungry that is for sure. There is some walking involved but the terrain is flat to and from each venue and accessible for anyone.
Karen and her team are amazing and we had so much fun on the night.
