Gold Coast – 2022 New Accommodation, Food, Beverages

Some wonderful offerings accommodation wise and on the food & beverage scene for the GC.

THE LANGHAM GOLD COAST

The Langham Gold Coast, part of the Langham family, this 169-room hotel finally opened it’s doors to the GC in June, we’ve been waiting for some time and overall the hotel delivers on design and décor. The public areas are luxurious, the exterior of the hotel and Jewel residences is stunning and an architectural masterpiece.

Try a cocktail in the central Lobby Bar, enjoy a meal in the signature Michelin star restaurant T’ang Court. This is the first hotel on the Gold Coast in more then 30 years offering direct beachfront access.

Rooms are spacious and modern. Highly recommend soaking in the tub, fabulous!

MERITON SUITES SURFERS PARADISE

The Meriton Suites Surfers Paradise, offering 5-star service luxury apartments with beachside water views and only a short walking distance into the heart of Surfers Paradise.

The 2-bedroom ocean suite corner apartment offered fantastic ocean views from the living room, balcony, and main bedroom. Very clean from a hygiene perspective, the décor minimalistic but welcoming.

Did not have time on this visit to check out the pool area unfortunately so will have to save that for another visit. Did however enjoy beverages and dinner at Coast Beach Bar & Kitchen which was fantastic, and I highly recommend. The Beach Bar offers fantastic cocktails and lovely view across the road to the beach. The décor in Coast Kitchen is gorgeous, very friendly staff and the food was amazing and a great wine list! Also loved that they try where possible to source local produce and product to showcase.

SIBLINGS KIRRA

Super impressed with Siblings Kirra, lovingly refurbished the interior design elements all fit the beach scene very nicely. When I was a teenager, the Kirra Pavilion was the place to be seen as the Pizza Hut on the Gold Coast. No buffet here anymore, that’s for sure. Siblings has really elevated the food scene in the local area with exquisite tasting food offerings, French glass doors run the beach side of the restaurant allowing patrons to enjoy their dining experience inside or from the undercover balcony.

I opted for the local prawn cocktail, then the seared scallops and drooled at my friend’s dessert haha next time I will order one for myself.

Great wine and cocktail list, for those driving some great non-alcoholic choices too, the best virgin mojito on gingerbeer I have had in a long time!
