4371.2 km Gold Coast to Perth, one day I will do this as a drive. Definitely one of my bucket list items. On this occasion I flew, a 4-hour direct flight from the Gold Coast which is awesome. So nice to arrive at the Perth Domestic Airport to be greeted by Australian Tourism Exchange signage, always makes me so proud to work in the tourism industry. My first visit to Western Australia and I really had no expectations at all of what this city would be like, but I had heard so many positive comments and recommendations I was really excited to be on the West Coast. The first day of arrival I spent that afternoon picking up some booth décor supplies from Belmont Forum, Cloverdale a lovely local indoor shopping centre and in the late afternoon/evening took myself to Kings Park. Overlooking the CBD and Perth waterways this over READ MORE

Australian Outback Spectacular, Heartland – Gold Coast
I have always enjoyed going to every new show that Australian Outback Spectacular brings out. This new one Heartland is no exception. We had General Admission Tickets however check out the website for other additional amazing packages. Arrive early and queue to enter (which is seamless) where welcoming staff will also provide each guest with a fantastic straw country hat to wear during the evening (great to wear for gardening or fishing later, yes you can keep this!) Step through the cattle station doors, stop for a photo opp (additional cost) then enjoy browsing in the awesome gift store, I also recommend taking a selfie with one of the gorgeous horses in Bazza’s Bar! A day at Sea World – Gold Coast
Having not visited Sea World in quite a few years today’s visit was a delightful surprise. Of course the weather today was outstanding, 17 – 25 degrees with a nice breeze and sunny skies we donned our sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and took our refillable water bottles for a day out. Not going on the weekend was certainly a bonus as there were no large queues, even though there were a lot of people in the park. It was great to see so many families, couples, friends, tour groups all enjoying themselves. First stop was Sea Jellies Illuminated – not only do you get to enjoy seeing these creatures with no brain or skeletal system weird right? The information is really interesting added to this Sea World have formed a partnership with Surf Life Saving Queensland & Griffith University to set up a fully functional operating laboratory to undertake research READ MORE
Gold Coast Food & Wine Tours – Gold Coast
Can’t believe it was two weeks ago but on the 6th of October, I participated in a Gold Coast Food & Wine Tours Progressive Dinner. This was a family celebration of 2 milestone birthdays. I had been looking forward to this tour for some time now. Karen met us in the Sofitel foyer and explained to us how the tour would work and provided some background info about her business. We caught the G (Tram) to and from most venues, Karen arranges the tickets, food, some beverages and introductions to Executive & Head Chefs, Mixology Champions plus you get to enter their world, a behind the scenes sneak peak if you will. For our tour my Brother Joe cooked with the Head Chef from Cliffords Grill & Lounge and created a yummy pizza which we enjoyed with some Tapas and a glass of Rose. Every piece of food here was READ MORE
